PrintRockets Waive Charlie Ward
HOUSTON – The Houston Rockets have waived 11-year veteran guard Charlie Ward, General Manager Carroll Dawson announced today.
Ward (6-2, Florida State) holds career averages of 6.3 points and 4.0 assists and 1.23 steals in 630 games with New York, San Antonio and Houston. He signed with the Rockets as a free agent on August 9, 2004 and played in 14 games with 13 starts. Ward averaged 5.4 points and 3.1 assists before having season-ending surgery on his right knee.
