Bakersfield Trades Blakely for 2011 Pick
BAKERSFIELD, January 24, 2011 — The Bakersfield Jam has completed a trade that will send Marqus Blakely to the Iowa Energy in exchange for a first round pick in the 2011 NBA Development League Draft.
Blakely, a 6’6” forward out of Vermont, was Bakersfield’s first round draft pick in the 2010 NBA D-League Draft. He averaged 13.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.7 steals in 25 games with the Jam this season.
With this trade, Bakersfield now has 3 first round picks in the 2011 NBA Development League Draft.
